Curator’S Notes

Like Many Of His Fellow Architects In The Post-War Period, Paul Bode Also Designed Furniture, Including This Unique Armchair Design. The Chair Seat And Back Are Separate Pieces, Each Attached To A Different Portion Of The Bentwood Bow That Forms Its Arms And Legs. The Construction Creates A Slight Give In The Back That Gives The Chair Just A Bit Of Extra Comfort. We Love The Simple Design Language That Reminds Us Of Another Classic Mid-Century Chair, The Bow Chair.
