Pierre Malbec Is Well-Known French Painter, And Has Spent Years Compiling A Collection Of Hand Made Ceramics By Other Artists. When We Travelled In February, We Were Lucky To Be Invited Into His Studio To Shop His Private Collection. This Lovely Treasure Is Part Of That Collection.

About Pierre Malbec

Pierre Malbec Was Born On September 20, 1956 To Antique Dealer Parents, And Lives In The South Of France. After Studying Cabinetmaking, He Became Passionate About Materials Of All Kinds. The Crossings Between Painting And Sculpture, (Crushing And Accumulation) Are Permanent In The Work Of Pierre Malbec.

Pierre Malbec Is Not A Sculptor In The Proper Sense, But Rather A “Structurer” Of Matter. It Has This Naturalness Specific To Artists Who Do Not Embrace Trendy Concepts, But Work In Silence For An Inner And Authentic Quest. He Is Also An Outstanding Colourist Who Enjoys Using Two Dimensions To Use The Shapes He Has Recently Erected. Each Sculpture Is Reflected In His Paintings With Unique Colors And Geometric Shapes.

Over The Years, The Compositions Of Pierre Malbec Have Gained Growing Success. Seeming At First Glance Decorative Compositions, They Master The Space And Reflect An Innate Sense Of Form, A Precision Of Line, Thus Distinguishing The Artist From The Decorator. His Production Is Dense, The Artist Constantly Pushes The Limits Of Figuration Towards A Singular Abstraction And The Presence Of Forms Play With Our Vision Of The Work Which Seduces Us By The Simplicity Of Its Language.
